Never underestimate the power of scent. It’s officially 2018 and I want to share my opinion of the must have fragrance. Kiss by RiRi is the newest addition to the Rihanna fragrance collection and it is by far my favorite. I typically gravitate towards more masculine and woodsy scents but there is something refreshing about this light perfume that has me reaching for it every morning. Think white florals like peonies and you have this fragrance’s profile.

For the absolute longest time, Victoria’s Secret Body sprays were my go-tos. Heck, in the summer, I still mix the coconut with the vanilla and am ALWAYS complimented on how delicious I smell. It is just the epitome of summer to me. But this Kiss by RiRi is definitely a great winter and summer scent. I’m also pretty impressed at how long it lasts. I put it on at 7am and I could still smell it on my wrists around 8pm that night. Now that’s putting in work, work, work, work, work (heehee)
While I do not know much about fragrance, I can tell you this smells REALLY fresh. Kiss by RiRi isn’t overpowering but instead very seductive. It makes you want to get in a little closer to fully embrace all of it and even lean in for a kiss.
Growing up my mother was the queen of perfumes. I remember all the beautiful glass perfume bottles on her mirrored plate on her dresser and sneaking spritzes of them. What I realized by doing this was that her and I have completely different smell profiles. I love jasmine, vanilla and musky notes while she prefers more floral perfumes. But this one definitely has me opening myself up to trying out some other floral scents to see if my tastes have changed.
My perfume history is pretty limited. In my teen years, I would live and die by CK One. That was my ISH!! As I got into college, I bathed myself in my Armani For Her perfume. It was woodsy, It was fruity, It was musky. It was delicious. Then I fell in love with Sugar for the longest but I was tired of smelling like a cupcake and I swear it made me crave baked goods a little more than normal. Then I went towards my vanilla body sprays and now Im hooked on Kiss by RiRi.
In 2018, I am committed to opening myself up to trying new things and being a little more girly. I choose to begin with fragrance and am excited that Kiss by Riri is the first in my line up. Next, I will start testing out more skin care goodies so please look out for that.
